Alicia Chesser is a writer, dancer, choreographer, and arts worker. She studied dance with the founders of Tulsa Ballet and English and philosophy at the University of Tulsa before moving to New York, where she wrote about dance for The Village Voice and other publications. Since returning to Tulsa, she’s covered everything from theatre to photography, performed across the region, and led and coordinated community programs in music, writing, and dance. She edits a weekly newsletter for Root Tulsa, an insider's guide to the city's arts and culture.
